Kitty’s Light 2.17 @ 3/1

For Jim 3.04 @ 4/1

Algiers 2.40 @ 8/1

Selected Hexham – good to soft on this undulating , galloping and very stiff track .

1.18 The fav is the back to form Graystown , very much a regular here and a fine effort last time when 2nd over half a mile further , but he’s won this  race for the last 2 years , last time off a 6 pound higher mark , but after a very promising start to the season , the wheels fell off severely and I’d rather be with the far more reliable front running Ardera Cross , who has a rare run in Class 5 .

1/4pt  win Ardera Cross @ 5/1

2.29 Neither the in form pair of Jelski or Jet Fighter are likely to be at home around this stamina sapping track on soft ground and the vote goes  to the progressive youngster Green Vault , who ended his season with a lesser effort , but it did come on heavy ground . He’s also 8 pounds higher than his last win , but is a strong stayer with a progressive profile .

1/2pt win Green Vault @ 11/4

3.04 Victory Echo put in a very bold effort over C&D last time , going a strong gallop from flagfall , at long odds , and only gave best late on , but it will be harder today up in grade , but not many count in this. Neither Tiger Jet nor Lyrical Genius strike as being the type to flourish over this C&D in the mud while the hat-trick seeking Avoid De Master , has won here , but returns from a 5 months break and soft ground not his thing , For Jim has 3 course wins on his CV , is on a workable mark , likes the ground and comes here on the back of an encouraging comeback spin . Looks a good play .

1/2pt win For Jim @ 4/1

Selected York – good to soft on this flat and galloping track

A special big hello to a great friend of mine , Mike Bishop , and party ,who are all experts at unravelling the conundrums of horse racing , but have sensibly asked The Racehorsetipster for some advice . Probably a very smart move as yesterday at York , I only advised 4 tips in the free service , and all 4 won ! 6/5, 7/2, 15/2 & 16/1 ! A big act to follow , but I’ll be trying .

1.30 A very competitive nursery but hard being with last time out winner Grey’s Monument , who sluiced in at Haydock on easy ground , but it was a much lesser event and he has a stonking 10 pound hit . John Chard VC , named after the late Stanley Baxter’s character In the epic action film Zulu, has done little wrong in 3 runs in pretty deep maidens . He’s a prominent racer , on a very fair mark and the extra furlong should be no issue. He looks one to keep on the right side as his price rocketed from £26,000 up to £100,000 from foal to yearling , often a very good sign.

1/2pt  ew John Chard VC @ 8/1

2.05 The progressive front running Felix Natalis should not be underestimated , and soft ground suits, but this should revolve around a trio of closely matched juveniles : Irish raider Bay Of Plenty , who is 1 from 1 ,and  the consistent pair of Alpha Capture and Bolt Action , but as the tip gave the useful and prolific Cold Case a fright last time on easy ground , he can stay on the best .

1/2pt win Alpha Capture @ 5/2

2.40 The only one in the field proven on soft ground is the classy ex-French Algiers , now with The Crisfords , and his last run on soft turf was a close 5th in a Group race , and fairly handicapped on that run .

1/2pt win Algiers @ 8/1

3.50 The front running Anjo Bonita is very well drawn to attack from flagfall and as she’s proven at the trip and ground , another honest run expected and could well be a deserved victory for her consistent efforts .

1/2pt ew Anjo Bonita @ 13/2

4.25 A frustrating race as it’s there for the taking , but hard to find the one to exploit the situation . The hat-trick seeking Atacama Desert looks out of it with an 8 pound hit while the consistent Duke Of Verona has a bit to prove switching to a speed track and softer ground . Whitehaven has the ground in his favour , and no issues with ground or mark, but hasn’t been himself for a while . Worth chancing the in form It’s Good To Laugh , a strong stayer over hurdles on soft ground , and on a good mark on the flat .

1/2pt win It’s Good To Laugh @ 4/1

Selected Chepstow – good ground on this undulating , galloping and quite stiff track

2.17 Looks vey much a match between a couple of progressive youngsters In Tea Clipper and the ultra consistent Kitty’s Light, placed in a number of competitive high quality staying races last year and was a close 2nd in this last year off around this mark and as only a 6yo , entitled to improve further .

1/2pt win Kitty’s Light @ 3/1

3.27 Flic Du Voyou is becoming increasingly hard to support and the progressive Paint The dream , now races off a very lofty 157, which will be hard to overcome , and would need more juice in the ground . Galahad Quest ran some big races around this trip last year , and on this kind of ground , and a good 2nd at Cheltenham , holds hopes for a deserved win today .

1/2pt win Galahad Quest @ 10/3

4.02 A strong pace is assured with the prolific pair of West To The Bridge and Bourbali sure to go out hard , and the former is likely to struggle today off this stiff mark and on drying ground , but Bourbali thrived last year and is far from out of this . Unanswered questions was massively consistent throughout the season , no worse than 4th , and his form at this trip is well good enough to be bang there off this mark . knappers Hill took a bit of time to really show his paces last season , considering he was a top bumper horse , but finished the season with a good win, but 10 pounds higher and up in trip.

1/4pt  ew Unanswered Questions @ 7/1

4.37 Too Friendly’s best runs have come on stiff tracks , something his rivals can’t boast , and 5 lengths 5th of 21 at Cheltenham is race winning form in this contest .

1/4pt win Too Friendly @ 4/1

Selected  Newmarket – good ground on this undulating ,stiff and galloping track

The first 3 races are Group race for juveniles , and it’s nigh on impossible which of these will have an edge , as in each race there are horse rattling off sequences and I’m well happy just watching them as opposed as having a probably costly hunch .

3.40 This is a race where we know pretty much the capabilities of all the field , and only 21 go to post in The Cesarewitch , but it’s still massively competitive . Jumps trainers have a terrific record in this 6 of the last 7 winners , and Nicky Henderson hopes to double up with the reformed character Ahorsewithnoname , obviously been trained for this . The previous 3 years were winners for the legend himself in Willie Mullins , who saddles 3 today , and there are two other Irish runners, one of them , the fav  Run For Oscar, a well punted and facie winner at Haydock last time. The ultra consistent Call My Bluff is proven over C&D and remains on a workable mark and will give us a good run for our money .

1/4pt ew Call My Bluff @ 14/1

4.50 The very wonderful Gale Force Maya struggled on soft ground last time and as long as it hasn’t knocked the stuffing out of her , comes into this the one to beat at the ratings and has a terrific record over C&D .

1/2pt win Gale Force Maya : 5/1

5.20 Very tricky stuff , I’m swerving .

Selected Chelmsford City – all weather – polytrack

6.30 I was with  Ciotog , quite confidently last time at Wolver , when he came off the pace and finished full of running , but hard seeing a repeat from the worst of the draw, a stiff penalty and switching surfaces . The lightly raced Roundabout Silver was a surprise winner at Brighton last time . in his first handicap , and has to be of interest from a good draw and up just 3 pounds , and likely to be fine on the surface . Preference is for the back to form Luna  Queen , who took advantage of a hugely declining mark to land a competitive event at Lingfield and only 3 pounds higher .

1/4pt  ew  Luna Queen @ 14/1

7.00 You rarely see a Godolphin horse in a Class 5 , but that was the case with Chief Of staff last time out when a narrow winner at Lingfield, but from a tricky draw and up to a grade at which he’s 0 from 7 , an easy pass. The admirably consistent Aramis Grey , runs this C&D well and remains on a workable mark and gets the vote , against rivals who mostly come into this with an unconvincing profile .

1/2pt win Aramis Grey @ 11/2

8.00 This will take little winning and despite being 3 pounds higher for a recent C&D win , Griggy is in to form , is hungry for more , and hat-trick a possibility .

1/4pt win  Griggy @ 9/4

8.30 Plenty of in form types in the finale but interesting that the top stable of The Crisfords have a runner in Anglesey Abbey , who’s only had 4 runs and last time was at Wolver , when beaten just 2 lengths , from a bad draw , and suffered all kinds of traffic problems . Nicely drawn and will do for me.

1/2pt win Anglesey Abbey @ 4/1
