He has the Edge in the 4.15

Today’s Multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Geryville 3.15 @ 15/8

Beat The Edge 4.15 @ 11/4

Piffle 7.30 @ 7/1

Selected Market Rasen – probably good to soft on this mostly flat and sharp track

1.15 In a race which won’t take much winning , the question is whether Barrier Pass can land the hat-trick off this 10 pound higher mark . Probably , but short enough to get the job done .

No Bet

1.45 The prolific and useful Hugo’s New Horse would do very well to go in again with a double penalty and on drying ground around this tight C&D . Preference is for Tightenyourbelts after his good 2nd at Taunton on just his 2nd start . C&D and ground should suit .

1/2pt win Tightenyourbelts @ 15/8

3.15 With African Dance returning after another long absence , this looks a match between the in form pair of Geryville and Jaytee , but the tip’s form has more substance .

1/2pt win Geryville @ 15/8

4.15 Another race which won’t take much winning and the consistent Beat The Edge can nail a deserved win . He was cruelly shoved up 6 pounds for a good 2nd , but as the winner has gone in again , over a trip short enough , the handicapper knew what he was doing . The tip did well to be 3rd over a trip way short of his best and should have too much pace for Sir Apollo , who’s more of a marathon horse .

1/2pt win Beat The Edge @ 11/4

Selected Taunton – probably good to soft on this flat and sharp track .

2.00 Future Investment was rated a lofty 92 on thev flat and showed he’s capable over hurdles with a good 2nd at Chepstow , the best form in the race . The short priced fav is Holetown Hero , but would do very well to give the tip weight and a beating .

1/4pt win Future Investment @ 7/2

2.30 Another short priced fav from the Nicholls yard in the lightly raced Half Dozen , an easy winner in the Hereford mud last time , but does have a 7 pound penalty and ground not so soft today . Sergeant can be relied upon to run his race and off a fair mark  and over a suitable C&D , a nice ew play.

1/4pt  ew  Sergeant @ 10/1

Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta

5.30 A tricky opener as Vespasian is rarely far away but just can’t break through off this mark , while the prolific Walking In Clouds , 4 wins and a 2nd in his last 5 , has a lot more to do up in the ratings and grade . After landing a hat-trick , Algheeb ran well again off his new mark and arguably back to his best trip and from a good draw, looks a nice ew play .

1/4pt  ew Algheed @ 7/1

6.30 Hard to look past the prolific Blazeon Five , who narrowly missed out on the 4 timer last time . Up just a pound and proven on the surface , another win looks on , but is only evens .

7.30 Smiling Sunflower needed every inch of the mile trip to get on top here last time , so both the drop in trip and the 5 pound hit casts doubts about doubling up . Plumette put some lesser runs behind her returning to her favourite track with a good win over C&D , and just a pound higher today . Preference is for the consistent Piffle , a good recent 2nd over C&D and looks overpriced .

1/2pt ew Piffle @ 7/1

8.30 The bookies rightly make this finale a two horse war, but as Bit Harsh is up in trip , the ratings and tapeta runs not great , the coast looks clear for the consistent Dinoo , still on a fair mark and C&D fine for this late player .

1/2pt win Dinoo @ 11/8
