Havana Blue 3.15 @ 18/1

Selected Newmarket – good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

2.40 Both Expert Agent and Quinault come here on 4 timers but more respect has to be given to Quinault , as he’s won his last two very well on turf while Expert Agent switches from the all weather . Revenite also commands maximum respect coming here on a hat-trick and is preferred to the fav Eminency , drying ground is against him while the same applies to the ultra consistent Mutaany. Washington Heights doesn’t know what it is to run a bad race , remains on a fair mark and no issue with C&D or ground .

1/4pt  ew Washington Heights @ 6/1

3.15 Havana Blue did very well on his comeback spin when a close 2nd of 17 over C&D and can be forgiven a lesser effort last time , again over C&D on unsuitable soft ground . Chartwell House finished close up behind the tip but the stable is badly out of sorts .

1/4pt  ew Havana Blue @ 18/1

Selected Bangor – good ground on this flat and sharp track

2.10 It wasn’t that long ago that the once useful Coo Star Sivola was rated a lofty 134 , and after some below par efforts , here he is on just 112, but does come here on the back of a much more encouraging effort when switched to front running and only tied up close home . This won’t take much winning and could make an overdue return to The Winners’ Circle .

1/4pt win Coo Star Sivola @ 5/1

3.20 The late playing youngster Gabriel’s Getaway is 3 from 3 over fences and still looks ahead of the game , but evens no use to me .

Selected Newbury – good ground on this flat and galloping track

3.00 Worth a dabble on Aiden O’Brien’s consistent Bertinelli after a good run in a Listed event last time . This looks very winnable with plenty of the field something to prove on drying ground and off stiff looking marks .

1/4pt win Bertinelli @ 11/1

5.18 The bold front running Leap Abroad sees the trip out strongly and willingly and despite this track not likely to play to his strengths , remains a tough one to pass.

1/2pt win Leap Abroad @ 9/2

Selected Thirsk – good ground on this flat and galloping track – speed track

2.32 After running some good races off higher marks, the front running Leodis Dream gained reward with a clear win at Ripon off a 5 pound lower mark than today . Still well enough handicapped and this speed track will play into his strengths . He can be forgiven a low key comeback spin at Musselburgh from the worst of the draw , on easy ground and in a field stacked with early pace . Could make all .

1/4pt  ew Leodis Dream @ 11/1

5.25  Copper and Five has become very well handicapped and much better last time and can land an uncompetitive heat .

1/4pt win Copper And Five @ 3/1

Sorry folks , no service for either Donny or Uttoxeter .

At Donny the drying ground is a massive issue , giving plenty in each race similar looking chances and to a slightly lesser degree at Uttoxeter . Both cards look good for pinstickers or darts players . There’s always tomorrow .
