3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Tara Iti 5.25 @ 7/2
Scots Poet 4.00 @ 3/1
Ertebat 8.40 @ 7/2
Selected Salisbury – good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
1.30 Not a deep race and it’s also a hands and heels race for apprentices , none of which , particularly successful . I’m well happy taking on the fav and form horse in My Genghis , going up in trip and trying quicker ground with the prolific Redredrobin , who hardly put a hoof wrong last season with 2 wins , 4 seconds and 2 4ths from 8 runs and ran well on her recent comeback spin , dropping to this trip on polytrack , running well to be 4th from a bad draw and in higher grade . This prominent racer is just 3 pounds above her last winning mark and this track very likely to suit . Could well be away and gone .
1/2pt win Redredrobin @ 9/2
3.10 The lightly raced Jax Edge has won 2 of her 3 handicaps and can be excused not winning the other as it came after a lengthy break . She is closely matched with another consistent sort in Princess Naomi , but has more scope than her rival and this won’t take much winning .
1/2pt win Jax Edge @ 11/2
4.20 Always worth giving anything racing in the Shadwell colours a second glance , as they have markedly trimmed down their operation , only keeping ones who can race at high levels. Mantoog brings the best form to the contest and can be too savvy for some well bred newcomers from top stables .
1/2pt win Mantoog @ 9/4
Selected York – good to firm on this flat and galloping track – speed track
1.50 PREMIUM RACE
2.25 PREMIUM RACE
3.00 Both Point Lynas and Master Richard served up a treat last season over C&D on quick ground when going toe to toe, eye to eye , from flagfall , and nothing in the big field could get close to them , coming home together , and both have run very well since off higher marks and both remain lively longshots , despite other front runners in the field , as there was when they fought out that memorable finish .
1/4pt ew each Master Richard @ 20/1 , Point Lynas @ 25/1 – why not , a small rev fc
3.35 PREMIUM RACE
4.10 Rocket Rodney held his form very well last season and is just about the one to beat at the ratings . C&D and ground no issue .
1/4pt win Rocket Rodney @ 4/1
4.45 Worth a try on the Godolphin £650,000 purchase Impressive Act on debut .
1/4pt win Impressive Act @ 15/8
Selected Perth – good ground on this flat and sharp track – speed track
3.25 PREMIUM RACE
4.00 Most of these would prefer softer ground giving a fine opportunity to the consistent and progressive Scots Poet , and this late player likes this kind of C&D and mark looks manageable .
1/2pt win Scots Poet @ 3/1
5.06 The very much back to form front running Sword Of Fate has fine claims of duplicating last season’s win in this race , despite a 5 pound higher mark .
1/4pt win Sword Of Fate @ 9/2
5.38 Not a deep finale and drying ground in the favour of few . Recent good ground Stratford winner Minelladestination has decent claims of the double with just a 2 pound penalty .
1/4pt win Minelladestination @ 7/2
Selected Fontwell – good ground on this sharp track
5.25 The young jockey overdid the waiting tactics on the in form and still well handicapped Tara Iti , and the ground is ideal for this C&D winner .
1/2pt win Tara Iti @ 7/2
6.30 Small Bad Bob came good over fences last time and on the same type of ground around a track he’s won twice , can exploit a good hurdles mark in a winnable heat .
1/4pt win Small Bad Bob @ 2/1
7.40 Pleasure Golden was a fair type on the flat , winning 4 times and peak mark was 70, which is 100 over jumps . He cut little ice over hurdles but won over fences first time of asking off a mark of just 81 and in the context of this race , could well overcome the 4 pound hit .
1/4pt win Pleasure Garden @ 5/1

Selected Newmarket – good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
6.55 Priscilla’s Wish racked up a 5 timer last season , all at her beloved Yarmouth taking her winning mark from a lowly 51 to a decent 69, and for good measure won on the polytrack off a mark of 75 , and was just foiled last time off tonight’s mark of around 81 at the same venue . If handling this track , could go in again .
1/2pt win Priscilla’s Wish @ 7/1
8.40 The lightly raced Ertebat came off the pace to win well at Ponty in his first handicap , and the runner up has won well since under a penalty . He could well overcome the 5 pound hit and this C&D should hold no terrors . Quinalt hasn’t broken sweat in winning his last two , but a 9 pound hit could keep him quiet and first try on a stiff track .
1/2pt win Ertebat @ 7/2
