2.35 The drop in trip and drying ground won’t help Boothill , who has developed into a talking horse , last win almost 2 years ago , while the drop in trip wont help the only runner with chase experience in the consistent Wicked West . Super Six ended the season as he began with a good ground win , which puts him on a workable mark in his first handicap . He like many in the field go chasing for the first time and is with a fences orientated stable and related to a winning chaser. Straw Fan Jack is a useful sort and if taking to fences , would be a clear danger.

1.40 The lightly raced Free Step was a clear winner at Kempton under this able 7 pound claimer and has to be respected despite the 5 pound hit and switching to tapeta. It wasn’t the greatest race which Hoi An Beach landed over C&D a few starts back but wasn’t disgraced at Newcastle last time , just beaten a few lengths , and this prominent racer is another to consider . The nod goes to the consistent Maylah , not beaten far at all in his last two spins , one coming at Wolver . A slight ease In the ratings helps this well drawn runner as does Fred Larson back in the saddle , with his record of 2 wins and a place in just 4 tries , and those wins were the tip’s total career wins .

2.50 Worth taking a chance of the well drawn front running Late Arrival , who has won twice this season , the latest at Chester off just a 3 pound lower mark and recently was a close 3rd at Ponty in a competitive heat off a 2 pound higher mark . He’s had excuses for his last two runs and is dual winner on the surface . The very much in form trio of LIbertus , Macchiavello and Hurstwood would do very well to add to their recent wins up in the ratings and grade .

3.25 The clear form horse is the hat-trick seeking Lumacho, but a bit more to do today up 4 pounds and first time on tapeta. Kodi Dancer is certainly worthy of consideration as she’s the only C&D winner and despite that win coming off a much lower mark , has held her form pretty well off her current mark since . Unagi is proven here and off a reduced mark , worth a try dropping in trip .

4.35 As this longer trip is an issue for all of the possibilities in Jackamundo , International Law and Dcoding in this weak event , certainly worth a try on the well handicapped recent C&D close 3rd in Bellshill Beauty , who has run some other decent races this season .

1.50 A chance for the jump jockeys to show their style in this annual event , and plenty to consider. Tralee Hills is rarely far away and was 3rd in this last year , and off a higher mark , but it came on soft ground and despite having Nico De Bourneville in the saddle , is passed over . Royaume Uni is still not exposed as a 127 rated hurdler , could well have got it lightly off just 80 . The nod goes to the ex-French Justus after a good close 3rd at this trip at Ascot on good ground and has been eased in the ratings slightly .

3.35 The front running Benacre may well not have things to himself at the head of affairs today with Kiss N Cuddle also liking a piece of the early action , and he was all out to prevail last time, making the 6 pound hit look excessive. Eminency comes here on the back of a fine effort at Donny when 5th of 15 , putting him on a workable mark and trip should suit but the nod goes to Solutre , a consistent sort , who’s ran to this level in all 3 runs and taken to defy a 2 months absence .

4.45 Ajero now looks too high in the weights and unproven at this longer trip . Saratoga Gold comes here on a 4 timer and not out of this despite the 5 pound hit but preference is for Pride Of Priory , who after notching a hat-trick , just didn’t act on the Hamilton mud last time . He had looked a progressive sort up until then . Both of these are hold up types and will have a good pace to aim at as last year’s winner Torcello will go out hard as will classy hurdler Goshen , but both prefer softer ground.
