Today’s Multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Edwina Sheeran 8.30 @ 15/8

The Caltonian 5.15 @ 7/2

Three Macks 4.15 @ 11/2

Selected Worcester – good ground on this flat and galloping track . Rain forecast so could soften a bit.

2.35 Pottlerath has certainly got his act together over fences and this late playing course specialist comes here on a 4 timer , but has been well placed by connections and off a 9 pound higher mark and against tougher opposition , not for me . Both Kauto The King and Lemoos Legend have stamina doubts while Bothwell Bridge continues to run modestly despite plenty of help from the handicapper . Topofthecotswolds is a C&d winner and won’t mind any easing of the ground . He’s a pound lower than his last winning mark and showed much more last time in  his 2nd outing following his Winter break . Good chance for this prominent racer .

1/2pt win Topofthecotswolds @ 9/2

4.15 Three Macs stepped up in his first handicap , which came over C&D with a 2nd of 10 , just beaten a few lengths , and the winner has won very well since . She went for home plenty far out and a slightly more patient ride can see her upgrade that run . She’s run well on easy ground and is preferred to the bang in form Vision Of Hope , up another 3 pounds and best form going right handed .

1/2pt win Three Macks @ 11/2

5.25 Jack The Farmer comes here on the back of 3 seconds and a 3rd and is proven at the trip and ground . Just a length short last time and the winner has gone in easily since . Just a pound higher and a deserved win could be on . Hollow Run won well last time at Uttoxeter but is 3 pounds higher and the first time cheekpieces not a positive for the stable .

1/4pt win Jack The Farmer @ 11/4

Selected Ayr – good to soft on this flat and galloping track

2.55 With plenty of early pace on this will suit the late playing , soft ground loving Woven , an easy winner at Donny on soft ground and last time was beaten 2 lengths over C&D in a race not strongly run and today’s pace will be of great assistance . More rain the better .

1/4pt  ew Woven @ 15/2

3.30 PREMIUM RACE

4.05  The prominent racing Alpine Stroll has found his form of late with two good seconds and despite a 2 pound hit and a rise in grade , has more going for him than most .

1/4pt win Alpine Stroll @ 9/2

4.40 Deputy has a terrific attitude and comes here on the back of a length 2nd at Donny on his preferred soft ground . He’s up another pound and his current mark is stiff enough , but with the ground in his favour , gets the nod .

1/4pt win  Deputy @ 10/3

5.15 Not a deep finale and well worth being with the least exposed runner in the field in The Caltonian who after some ordinary runs in maidens , ran really well in his first handicap which came over C&D , in far higher grade, just beaten narrowly , and the pound hit keeps him firmly in the picture .

1/2pt win The Caltonian @ 7/2

Selected Chepstow – good to soft on this undulating , galloping and stiff track . Rain forecast so ground could deteriorate

5.20 King Of The Dance did very well in a rare venture on turf last time at Newbury when a close 3rd , keeping on very well, giving the impression that both slower ground and a stiffer track would suit . Same mark and same jockey .

1/2pt win King Of The Dance @5/1

5.55 There has been plenty of money around for the newcomer Per Contra but two of the field already bring decent form to the table. Hadrian’s Wall a good 2nd at Wolver and Big Brown Bear a good 2nd at Brighton on soft ground . With the ground likely to be in his favour , the latter gets the nod .

1/4pt win Big Brown Bear @ 11/2

7.00 Hagia Sophia runs this track very well and did amazingly well last time when totally missing the break, but came home strongly to be 3rd . Softer ground may not be ideal but not a deep race.

1/4pt win Hagia Sophia @ 11/2

7.35 This will take little winning and despite not being the most consistent , course winner Louis Treize ticks the most boxes .

1/4pt win Louis Treize @ 11/2

8.10 Tin Fandango is very capable in this grade , trip and on soft ground and comes here on the back of an improved run last time .

1/4pt win Tin Fandango @ 5/2

Selected Ripon – currently good ground but plenty of rain forecast and likely to soften . The track is undulating and sharp .

7.20 As Ey Up It’s The Boss and Saisons D’Or are both confirmed front runners, this should set things up nicely for the late playing and capable Diamond Haze , especially if the rains come .

1/4pt win Diamond Haze @ 9/2

7.55 PREMIUM RACE

8.30 The front running Edwina Sheeran comes here on the back of a fine win over C&D and looks set to have the lead to herself again from a good draw. Up 4 pounds but this isn’t a strong race and is proven on easy ground .

3/4pt win Edwina Sheeran @ 15/8
