Bright Sunbird 2.00 @ 7/2

Dorrells Pierji 2.30 @ 3/1

Francky Du Berlais 3.00 @ 4/1

Selected Uttoxeter – good ground on this undulating and sharp track with a long galloping straight .

1.30 Presentandcorrect took off good style last Summer . with 5 wins from 6 starts , all over fences , but has been noticeably struggling of late and switches to hurdles today , but form over the smaller obstacles is at best , just OK. Onward Route tends to have plenty of time between his races and comes here on the back of a first ever win , making all at Hexham for an easy win and today’s longer trip no issue , but the penalty could be and this is a quick turnaround for a runner who usually has longer breaks . Arabescato is a decent stayer on the flat and worth a dabble , given his determination in the finish .

1/4pt  win Arabescato @ 7/1

2.00 This looks a big ask for the in form Guidedbyscience , who was a facile winner at Fakenham but then bunged up 7 pounds and could only manage an Ok 3rd next time in a modest heat and is up another 4 pounds today . The prominent racing Bright Sunbird was a close 2nd on her handicap debut and in a race where few will get busy early on , smart chance of going one better .

1/2pt win Bright Sunbird @ 7/2

2.30 In his youth , Dorrells Pierji was prolific and progressive for Willie Mullins but then moved on to a small British stable and eventually reached the top stable of Dan Skelton , who is renowned for coaxing runners back to top form , and is 2 from 2 for the stable , and yet to break sweat and the 7 pound hit could have been far worse . The drop in trip won’t help the late playing Irish raider Bronson In Blue while Hillview’s winning spree came to an end last time when just an OK 3rd and he’s up a further 9 pounds today !

3/4pt win Dorrells Pierji @ 3/1

3.00 The valuable Summer Cup and there’ll be no hanging about with any number of front runners or prominent racers , an ideal scenario for course specialist Francky Du Berlais  , who when last seen here only had to be pushed out to land a similar contest and the 6 pound hit and the longer trip both look manageable . He was disappointing over hurdles last time but is a far better chaser . When successful here he had the consistent Romain De Senam not far behind in 2nd , who held his form very well until a much lesser effort at Perth , and at long odds worth a saver .

1/2pt win  Francky Du Berlais @ 4/1 1/4pt  ew Romain De Senam @ 20/1 , why not , a small rev fc

Selected The Curragh – good to soft on this undulating , galloping and stiff track

1.40 Quite a few of these cost absolute wedges , many In excess of £100,000 and the daddy of them all is the Tommy Stack newcomer Sea Legend , a whopping £350,000 . Has to be worth a dabble .

1/4pt win Sea Legend @ 7/1

Been through the Windsor card thoroughly and happy to swerve the whole card . The handicaps are full of ifs , buts and maybes while the maidens look destined for short priced favs .

Selected Cartmel – good to soft on this undulating and sharp track with a very long run in .

2.20 A cracking contest with so many In form runners and also many significantly  proven over C&d . A good pace is assured with a stack of front runners, which  is likely to tell on those up front late on so I’m with  a couple more patiently ridden types .Hurricane Ali has certainly come of age and beat a good opponent at Aintree last time and the 4 pound hit could have been worse , but wouldn’t want the ground to deteriorate . The reliable Ingleby Hollow is a very late player , has gone close over C&D before off around this mark and wont mind the ground softening . I’d be a bit more confident if it wasn’t for jockey Nathan Moscroft being inexperienced around here .

1/4pt win Hurricane Ali @ 8/1   1/4pt   ew Ingleby Hollow @ 12/1 – small rev fc ?

4.30 The last time we saw Jelski was winning over C&D , on similar ground by a long old way but the 11 pound will be very hard to overcome . Another course specialist is Liffeydale Dreamer , but she’s now on a stiff mark and both the drop in  trip and softer ground no help . Native Fighter , yet another Jimmy Moffat trained track specialist , recently resumed duties with a creditable effort here in a far better race finishing 6th of 13 , looking very much as he’d come on for the run . This is not a deep race and is preferred .

1/4pt win Native Fighter @ 4/1
