Adamaris 8.30 @ 4/1

Selected Donny – probably good ground on this flat and galloping track

12.00 It should be a straightfight between the two recent winners and form horses , whose small penalties keep them firmly in the picture but the issue with this contest is that it’s for highly inexperienced jockeys , so giving it to the swerve .

No Bet

12.35 The ex- pointer , the front running Cosstguard Station has a golden opportunity first time over fences and on a workable mark in this handicap as all of his rivals have plenty to prove be it on current form or trip , but 6/4 plenty short for a single.

1.10 The clear form horse is recent close Wetherby 2nd Hurricane Bay , which looked a competitive heat and compensation awaits .

1/2pt win Hurricane Bay @ 10/11

1.45 A very competitive Class 3 chase and the prolific Mackenburg is hard to rule out with just a 3 pound penalty but the drop in trip and 4 pound hit could see recent winner Topofthecotswolds struggling for pace around this speed track . Barton Mill has won this for the last two years and despite a disappointing comeback spin , he’s bounced back from lesser runs before .

1/4pt win Barton Knoll @ 11/2

Selected Newbury – good ground on this flat and galloping track

1.10 The pair who catch the eye are both making their hurdles debuts from the world of pointing and both changed hands for over £300,000 ! after impressing with wins . Ittack Blue runs for a successful syndicate headed by Sir Alex Ferguson while Jet Powered runs in the Gold Cup winning silks of the Donnelly family . Good race to watch .

12.45 Four last time winners but all now on stiff marks and certainly worth a try on the classy hurdler Soaring Glory , who is probably a couple of pounds too  high in the handicap , but has the ground in his favour , runs this track very well and fences could open a few new doors .

1/2pt win Soaring Glory @ 7/1 Nr , switch to Frere D’armes @ 3/1

2.30 PREMIUM RACE

3.05 As both Champ and Paisley Park are now in the veteran stage and despite still being useful , drying ground on this speed track could see them both struggling for pace late on . Proscehema comes here on the back of a terrific win at Wetherby , easily a career best . The quality of that win leaves him with a bit to find on official ratings with the aforementioned duo, but this late player is certainly on the up .

Nothing of interest at Ffos Las and my experience has taught me that when the ground very soft at the South Wales track, strange results occur

Selected  Dundalk – all weather – polytrack

5.30 Smullen’s Pride comfortably brings the strongest form to the table and it was achieved here and bred for the extra furlong , at least.

1/2pt win Smullen’s Pride @ 6/4

6.30 Maura’s Gift has been knocking on the door of late and comes here on the back of a very solid 2 lengths 3rd over C&d off this mark , and with the same jockey in the saddle in this race for apprentices and also well drawn , this should be her night .

1/4pt win Maura’s Gift @ 5/2

7.00 The fav in this modest and weak handicap is recent hurdles winner Wajaah and returns to the flat on a workable mark but slight preference is for Lucky Number, unlucky last time in his first try at this trip which came here and obviously unexposed at this trip .

1/4pt win Lucky Number @ 11/2

7.30 Quite a few of these maidens are both consistent and bring solid track form to the table. The consistent Lizzy’s Filly is looking exposed and best form is on heavy turf and from a wide draw, happy to look elsewhere. Soilse did well over C&d last time out when a close 3rd over C&D from a bad draw but Selador brings slightly stronger form to the table and gets the nod .

1/4pt win Selador @ 3/1

8.00 The short priced fav is recent C&D winner Dandyville , but both a 6 pound hit and a sharp rise in grade , is well sufficient to try and get him beaten . Hodd’s Girl has severely taken off of late , not unusual for a maturing mare and was a smart winner over C&D last time , when winning as she liked, and the 5 pound hit could have been much worse. Worth following in her current rich vein of form .

1/2pt win Hodd’s Girl @ 5/1

8.30 Adamaris is 2 from 2 over C&d and recently returned from a 9 months break to run a cracker , again here , but dropping down half a mile , and only beaten around a length , and of course the return to this distance very much in this late player’s favour . The fav is Willie Mullins’ Gibraltar , who ran a respectable race when 9th of 21 in the English Cesarawitch , but that was off a 7 pound higher mark than his previous win , and was beaten 9 lengths .

1/2pt Adamaris @ 4/1
