Could be Nacho’s ” Daay” at long odds

Nacho Daay 2.00 @ 18/1

Glory 2.20 @ 20/1

Beach Breeze 7.00 @ 12/1

Selected Ayr – soft ground on this flat and galloping track

1.10 Laura Morgan is an expert at producing horses to win off very low marks , and then rattling off a sequence , and Big Chances is short odds to double up a comfortable win at Sedgefield , and the 4 pound hit could have been worse , but of greater concern is the half mile longer trip and soft ground , on which he is 0 places from 3 tries . Camp Belan ran a number of big races last year , he came to hand early and was unlucky to just lose out on the Wetherby mud , at this trip, and off just a 2 pound lower mark , and is preferred .

1/4pt win   Camp Belan @ 5/1

2.10 This is certainly more about quantity than quality as you have to search deep and long to find any recent worthwhile form , and on soft ground . Glory responded well to the big drop in the ratings , with 2 big runs at around this trip and one on easy ground . He returns from another lengthy absence but does have a good record running well fresh and has to be a player at long odds .

1/2pt  ew  Glory @ 20/1

3.50 A very uncompetitive stayers’ handicap and looks a match between the ex-Irish Hoganvile, who made all for a smart win at Hexham , but the 6 pound hit won’t help and the switch to a flat track also a concern .Preference is for the consistent The Questioner , who landed a double last season , one on soft ground ,  and comes here on the back of a narrow defeat , and despite the 3 pound hit , this C&D and ground are in his favour .

1/2pt win The Questioner @ 7/4

Selected Leicester – heavy ground on this stiff and galloping track

1.20 The ultra reliable and determined Fen Tiger comes here on the back of 2 wins and 3 seconds and the deeper ground and stiffer track very much in his favour .

3/4pt win Fen Tiger @ 11/8

1.50 Girl Magic holds her form very well and recently was a cracking 6th of 27 at Newmarket , running on strongly. She is proven on soft ground , and despite carrying a penalty is preferred to the consistent Sassy Belle, but 3 seconds are suggesting she’s a bit of a pushover in the finish .

1/4pt win Girl Magic @ 10/3

3.30 PREMIUM RACE

4.35 May Blossom is having a good season and comes here on the back of a last to first win over C&D and with another strong pace likely  which of course will suit her , softer ground no issue and the 3 pound hit could have been worse .

1/4pt win May Blossom @ 5/1

Selected Redcar – soft ground on this flat and galloping track

2.00 The lightly raced Nacho Daay is certainly of interest off a very lowly mark . He was last seen in s very valuable Class 2 at Newmarket and led the 27 strong field for 5 of the 6 furlongs, until trying to keep at bay much higher rivals , proved impossible but could take some catching , receiving so much weight from his opponents on soft ground .

Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta . The track is stiff and galloping

4.10 PREMIUM RACE

4.43 The highly consistent Berry Edge remains on a workable mark, only beaten ½ of a length off this rating last time out , which came in higher grade . He switches to tapeta and his only run here was in the early days of his career, and shaped OK. A deserved win could be on .

1/4pt win Berry Edge @ 4/1

6.25 The fav is the well handicapped Prince Hector , but is a long standing maiden and makes scant appeal up in trip and under a rider struggling for a winner . The consistent pair of Bold Territories and Maylah are proven at the trip and surface , but now a bit high in the ratings while Gone Underground, has been running well here , but can’t see the drop in trip giving him s first win after 22 tries . There’s not much early pace in this which offers hope for recent C&D winner Whatwouldyouknow to double up off a 3 pound higher mark , as a soft lead is up for grabs .

1/4pt win Whatwouldyouknow @ 15/2

7.00 Solitary Trees is going from strength to strength and comes here on a hat-trick, but besides the stiff 6 pound penalty , also drops in trip and to tapeta, a surface on which he’s struggled before . Slippin Jimmy ran well to be 2nd here last time out off a 2 pound lower mark, but the longer trip is the issue . Beach Breeze has showed himself to be capable off around this mark. He’s rarely far away and at long odds worth trying he’ll act on the surface .

1/2pt  ew  Beach Breeze @ 12/1

7.30 Jems Bond runs this C&D very well and wasn’t far away last time . Could be the solution to a winnable heat .

1/4pt win Jems Bond @ 4/1

8.00 A stack of early pace with at least  Melody King ,Never Dark and Majeski Man going out hard from flagfall , and it’ll be tough to hang on with some strong finishers in the field .Phoenix Star has hit the frame in all 8 runs here ! and comes here in the kind of form to be involved again but the nod goes to the late playing Rory , who’s been knocking on the door on easy turf of late and recently was most unlucky over C&D when galloping all  over his rivals , but unable to find a clear , and off the same mark ,worth chancing better luck tonight .

1/2pt win Rory @ 7/2
