Broctune Red to pounce late and well in the 4.10

Today’s Multi

50p ew trixie & 50p ew treble

Croagh Patrick 3.25 @ 6/1

Gustav Graves 3.35 @ 11/2

Broctune Red 4.10 @ 13/2

Selected Chepstow – good to soft on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

1.30 Not a deep race and despite Eye Of The Water incurring a 3 pound penalty , he seemed to improve for the more patient ride last time , is effective on the ground and track .

1/4pt  win Eye Of The Water @ 7/2

2.40 Connie’s Rose has a good record here and showed recently at Bath, on ground plenty soft enough , that she has the pace for the minimum trip . She’s now just below her last winning mark and despite the big field , not a great deal of early pace around and with Callum Hutchinson back in the saddle claiming a valuable 3 pounds , I’m with her for an all the way win .

1/2pt win Connie’s Rose @ 11/2

3.15 Plenty of early pace around in this which makes it likely to go to one who will see the trip out well. Cashew has been given a chance by the handicapper and has been a close 2nd twice of late on the all weather . The return to easy ground turf shouldn’t be an issue , and this has a winnable look to it.

1/2pt  ew Cashew @ 11/1

3.50 Against uninspiring rivals , the consistent Bomb Squad should get reward for some good placed efforts of late and no issues with ground or C&D .

1/4pt win Bomb Squad @ 9/4

4.55 Easy to take on recent quick ground Brighton winner Letter Of The Law with a stiff penalty and switching to a stiffer circuit and easy ground . The unexposed Sympathise is only 2 pounds higher for a smart win on the all weather and worth trying up in trip and on easy turf .

1/4pt win Sympathise @ 10/3

Selected Newcastle – good ground on this stiff and galloping track

3.25  The consistent if luckless Croagh Patrick has been nudged up 2 pounds for yet another fine effort , but still preferred in a winnable looking heat .

1/4pt win Croagh Patrick @ 6/1

4.00 With plenty of early pace on , the front runners could well fall into a big hole late on  leaving this to the strong staying late players . Court Dreaming has been consistent of late and will be running on when most have cried enough . Ground suits ,which can’t be said for most in the field.

1/2pt  ew Court Dreaming @ 9/1

Selected Beverley – good to soft on this stiff and galloping track

3.35 The consistent Gustav Graves was a fine 2nd last time in a deep Hamilton handicap on easy ground and looks sure to be bounding up the hill, and a deserved win can be his.

1/2pt  win Gustav Graves @ 11/2

4.10 Plenty of early pace around which will suit the late players . Broctune Red comes here in top form from the all weather and is proven both over C&D and the ground , and off this mark . Nicely drawn and marginally preferred to the consistent track regular Dandy’s Angel .

Selected Wetherby – good to soft on this mostly flat track with an uphill finish

6.30 Viva Voce is holding his form well enough to merit a lively longshot in a race which won’t take much winning .

1/4pt  ew Viva Voce @ 14/1

7.00 The admirable front running Masque Of Anarchy is well drawn and again likely to have his own way up front . He’s won 4 of his last 8 and despite another 3 pound nudge , could be the answer against unconvincing rivals .

1/4pt win Masque Of Anarchy @ 4/1

8.05 Martin’s Brig is rarely far away and with the ground and trip in his favour and remaining on a workable mark , looks a nice ew play .

1/4pt  ew Martin’s Brig @ 7/1

8.40 Makalu comes here on the back of two good placed efforts , not beaten far in either and can edge out the penalised Premiership .

1/4pt win Makalu @ 9/2

Selected Sandown – good ground on this stiff and galloping track

6.45 At the odds worth a flutter on the progressive Grey’s Monument , up with the best of these on official ratings . Finn’s Charm impressed winning a Musselburgh handicap with ease , but goes up in grade as does the odds on fav , His Majesty’s Slipofthepen , mightily impressive in both runs , both on polytrack and very much could be anything .

1/4pt win Grey’s Monument @ 12/1

7.15 Another race which is very hard to call as all of these are lightly raced and already running to a good level , with most probably much more to come . Royal Symbol is 1 from 1 , but that came on the all weather, 18 months ago and preference is for Torito , a smart winner last time and has a Derby entry .

1/4pt win Torito @ 9/2
