Today’a Multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Audit 3.35 @ 6/1

Dick Datchery 3.00 @ 6/1

Lermoos Legend 2.05 @ 5/2

Selected Cartmel – good ground on this undulating and sharp track , unique , so Course specialists always worth noting

A huge hello to a great friend of mine Billy Ward  and party , I believe they’re 17 strong ! Regulars at the Cumbria course and assured of another great day out and they are all good judges of form and likely to be relieving bookies of  plenty of dosh

12.00 An uninspiring opener and worth a try with Jimmy Moffat’s new intake , the ex-Irish pointer Grand Soufle as Jimmy is the top trainer here and those with form are modest at least .

1/2pt win Grand Souffle @ 8/1

1.30 An open  race and worth chancing the unexposed Dicey Reilly dropping in trip and grade for Peter Bowen who has a cracking record here .

1/2pt  ew  Dicey Reilly @ 11/1

2.05 With the excellent Sir Tivo likely to want to make all , and just 2 pounds higher for his latest win , and with course specialists Tonto’s Spirit , who will find this trip on the short side on quick ground and the consistent Sword Of Fate also likely to join in , they could certainly mar each other’s chances so going for the in form C&D specialist Lermoos Legend , despite being 4 pounds higher for an excellent 2nd last time . Dr sanderson also goes very well here and is in top form but drying ground at this trip against him.

1/2pt win Lermoos Legend @ 5/2

2.40 Looks very much a match but at the weights , Game Line should have the better of the hat-trick chasing Larry Looby .

1/2pt  win Game Line @ 6/4

Selected Ayr- good ground on this flat and galloping track

1.50 Few come here in great form and just to make it a bit trickier , it’s a race for apprentice jockeys. The clear form horse is Graces Quest, but she is now on a career high mark as a consequence of her success, but still has strong claims . Well planted has a bit to prove after a poor run at Cartmel over timber on Saturday so the nod goes to the lightly raced Tendentious , a good winner on his comeback spin off just a 2 pound lower mark when ridden patiently and last season ran a respectable race over C&D .

1/4pt win Tendentious @ 5/1

2.25 Looks very much a match but I’m giving the nod to recent C&D 4th in Feel The Need over odds on fav  Pjanoo , whose good 2nd came on easy ground , but the Southern stable does make a 720 mile round trip .

1/4pt win Feel The Need @ 9/2

3.00 Despite plenty of help from the handicapper , Dick datchery was showing little sign of response , but there was money for him last time , and not misguided , as he was a comfortable winner over C&D , and the 7 lengths back to the consistent 3rd horse suggests strongly good form . He’s up 5 pounds , but if anywhere near his best , a C&d winner off 21 pounds two seasons ago, will take the penalty in his stride . He overcame traffic problems to score but this does look a tougher assignment with Monsieur Kodi an excellent close 2nd over C&D last time in a competitive heat , but he is a bit and out and a new jockey aboard is a concern . Classy Al was a Winner for My Premium Tip Members over C&D last time out , but did look all out but Paul Mulrennan favours him over the tip . I don’t .

1/4pt win Dick Datchery @ 13/2

3.35 Biplane has received plenty of help from the handicapper and responded last time with a big run on the Newcastle tapeta, his most successful track and turf runs not great . Audit is another to respond well to the drop in the ratings with a close 3rd at Catterick and both today’s more conventional track and longer trip are in her favour .

1/2pt win Audit @ 6/1

Ballinrobe – good ground on this flat and sharp track

5.35 We start with a claimer which will help the vast majority of these who are not running anywhere close to their marks. This is Mischief’s Star’s grade nowadays and returns to a more suitable trip and when last seen at this distance was a creditable 6th in a handicap off a mark of 77 .

1/4pt win Mischief’s Star @ 5/1

6.05 Very much a match but with the longer trip likely to be In his favour and with jockey Willie Lee having plenty of success here , Roman Bull preferred over the hard to win with Red Azalea.

3/4pt win Roman Bull @ 11/8

6.35 The clear form horses are hat-trick seeking Heather Bear , who could struggle around this sharp track on quick ground and now on a stiff mark , and recent C&D winner Arch Enemy , who has a stiff penalty , but has been rated around this mark before . The consistent Brown Eagle has been running well , but only in claimers .

1/2pt win Arch Enemy @ 7/2

7.05 The clear form horse is recent Curragh 3rd Laelaps , but a worry regrading his suitability to this tight circuit .

1/4pt win Laelaps @ 2/1

7.35 More quantity than quality here and a confident tick for the reliable Miss Cunning in this apprentice race , and Jack Coen is her regular rider and when last seen at this trip was an excellent close 4th at Fairyhouse off around this mark .

1/2pt win Miss Cunning @ 9/2

8.05 Willie Mullins runs the ex-French Youmdor , who was last seen tailed off at Cheltenham 18 months ago ! So plenty to be wary of . This has a very  winnable look and the nod goes to the lightly raced Only Sky , who returns to the fray after a 9 months break, but is a C&D winner off a pound less and gets the nod . Kodiac Prince has been going well of late and races as if this longer trip would suit . We’ll see.

1/4pt  win Only sky @ 5/1

8.35 The odds on fav is the 150 rated chaser Midnight Run , who has his first  ever run on the flat , and you would expect to be well too good for these but an easy pass at odds on .
