50p ew trixie & 50p ew treble
Adatorio 3.36 ~ 9/1
Wisper 4.11 @ 10/1
Aleezdancer 3.20 @ 12/1
Selected Bath – probably good to firm on this undulating , sharp but stiff track
1.15 The consistent Orin Swift is far too often the bridesmaid , but this front runner is likely to have his own way up front and will relish this stiff C&d . Very good chance as the lightly raced Tibbie Dunbar is up 7 pounds and unproven on a stiff circuit and in this apprentices race the tip has a good lad aboard in Rhys Clutterbuck .
1/2pt win Orin Swift @ 3/1
3.36 Adatorio was a close 2nd over C&D last time and despite being 5 lengths behind Mount Kosciusko last time , it came at Windsor , a speed track , so back to the uphill finish at Bath, looks a nice ew play .
1/2pt ew Adatorio @ 9/1
4.11 The prolific Wisper was a good winner at Brighton last time out , her first run for Marcus Tregoning , so could well have a bit more in the tank , and has run well here before .
1/2pt ew Wisper @ 10/1
4.46 Sisterandbrother only failed narrowly over C&D last time but preference for the well handicapped C&D winner and in form True Romance .
1/4pt win True Romance @ 11/2
Selected Hexham – good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
1.20 Despite both First Revolution and Follow Your Fire having stiff penalties for recent wins ,these late players still look the ones who’ll fight this out and the tip is preferred as he looks a different horse since recently breaking his duck .
1/4pt win First Revolution @ 5/1
1.55 Looks very much a match but as Miss Amelia has a far better win record is preferred over Onward Route . The switch to hurdles hardly likely to be an issue and proven here .
1/2pt win Miss amelia @ 7/4
3.10 Full marks to the 5 timer chasing Merry Berry, who looks sure to run her usual gallant race despite the 5 pound hit . The back to form Ask Paddington goes well here but the 8 pound hit looks excessive . The consistent Big Bad Bear ran well off his new mark last time and gets the nod with this C&D likely to suit .
1/4pt win Big Bad Bear @ 4/1
3.45 Johnston’s Rule simply loves it here but up in the ratings and grade which gives the edge to the in form Court Dreaming .
1/4pt win Court Dreaming @10/3
4.20 Henry Brown has improved since tackling longer trips and he’s in good enough form to run well again .
1/4pt ew Henry Brown @ 7/1
Selected Chester – good ground on this flat and sharp track . Low numbers in the draw and prominent racers favoured
1.35 Sanks A Million is the likely leader and has run to a decent level both times and can take advantage of the two winners in the field shouldering dreaded penalties .
1/4pt win Sanks A Million @ 10/3
2.10 C&d winner Militia is well drawn to bomb off and try to make every post a winning post , but a 4 pound hit will test late on and Glory Fighter can gain revenge , from the best of the draw , just beaten a length by Militia last time , coming home strongly . Drying ground no help to the useful sprinter Count D’Orsay .
1/4pt win Glory Fighter @ 9/2
2.45 A decent opportunity for the well handicapped Jean Baptiste coming here on the back of two good runs .
1/2pt win Jean Baptiste @ 9/2
3.20 The likeable and useful Outgate is well drawn but is now on a very stiff looking mark . Aleezdancer has run well in both starts this season and from a good draw , looks a very nice ew play .
1/2pt ew Aleezdancer @ 12/1
4.30 With so much early pace on , and most of it coming from badly berthed runners, the race will go to a late player , making the strong finishing Ballyare a nice longshot . Indian Creak is the short priced fav and is well drawn but should have won off this mark last time , so worth trying to find something at a working man’s price .
1/2pt ew Ballyare @ 12/1
5.05 The decent hurdler Saint Risquier is on a very low mark switching to the flat but there are a few at a price who are in form and tick plenty of boxes . Splitting my stake
1/4pt ew each Red Derek @ 10/1. The new Marwan @ 16/1 – why not a small rev fc
Selected Sandown – good ground on this stiff and galloping track
1.40 Hamaki is certainly of interest for his top stable and high profile owners as he was a smart winner here last season and was far from disgraced in his subsequent run , which came off this mark . The wind op is a positive for the stable as also is undercarriage going west and this looks winnable.
1/2pt win Hamaki @ 13/2
2.15 PREMIUM RACE
2.50 Despite the penalty , classy sprinter Caturra should be good for these useful but outclassed sprinters .
1/2pt win Caturrah @ 13/8
3.25 He could be better drawn , but down to a good mark , the explosive Boogie Time will endeavour to make all, despite the drop in trip and if leading could take some catching .
1/4pt win Boogie Time @ 7/1
4.00 The softer ground was probably the reason why Lethal Nymph was only 3rd at Haydock when odds on in his first handicap and looked to be on a generous mark . On better ground and a longer trip, could set the record straight .
1/4pt win Lethal Nymph @ 9/2
5.10 The lightly raced Moel Arthur is a very stiff 6 pound higher than last time when a good 2nd at Newbury , which did look a winnable race . The nod goes to High wells , a good 2nd last time and the drop in trip will help as his fitness improves after a long break .
1/4pt win High Wells @ 4/1
Selected York – good to firm on this flat and galloping track
2.00 Topanticipation comes here on a hat-trick but would do well to overcome the 6 pound penalty which brings Casilli into the argument as he was 4th , not beaten very far , and as that was his first try at the trip and obviously stays , a more positive ride likely . arctic Fox is very much a regular in this race , and has won in the past , but is on a long losing run and the first tim cheekpieces a negative for the stable .
1/4pt ew Casilli @ 7/1
2.35 A competitive heat , good chances for : boardman, Maywake , Challet and Mykonos S John but the nod goes to the reliable Lion tower , with the drop in trip no issue and will run his usual bold race .
1/4pt win Lion Tower @ 7/2
3.05 On form , the ratings , trip and ground , the admirably consistent and classy Mandoob looks a very solid fav .
1/2pt win Mandoob @ 15/8
3.40 PREMIUM RACE
4.50 Poet’s Dawn showed more last time , responding to the big drop in the ratings and a nice longshot in a winnable heat .
1/4pt ew Poet’s Dawn @ 12/1
5.22 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Worcester – good ground on this flat and galloping track
5.25 Great D’ange has only had three tries over fences , he fell in the first , when struggling on soft ground . Sluiced in at warwick on good ground and last time over the same C&D , had the race in control when taking a late fall and off the same mark in a modest heat , compensation looks on .
3/4pt win Great D’Ange @ 7/2
6.30 Coral has a terrific record here but has been bunged up 2 pounds for a good 2nd over C&D last time , but as an able 7 pound claimer takes the ride, he should be too good for these .
1/2pt win Coral @ 11/4
7.00 Paul Nicholls is 5 from 5 with first time out bumpers at this track !
1/2pt win just My imagination @ 6/4
7.30 The 9 pound hit will surely test the lightly raced and hat-trick seeking Master Malachy , but none of his opponents have much going for them .
1/4pt win Master Malachy @ 7/2
5.45 After a useful debut when beaten a neck at Hamilton , Penalty Charge brings the best form to the table and bred for this stiffer test .
1/2pt win penalty Charge @ 6/5
6.15 The consistent Hello Zabeel was a close 3rd over C&D last time out on quick turf and this mark and is preferred to C&D winner Dashing Dick , a bit high in the ratings and prefers softer ground .
1/2pt win Hello Zabeel @ 7/4
7.45 He’s A Gentleman was a very good 2nd at Haydock in a competitive handicap and the 2 pound hit should well keep him competitive and this isn’t deep .
1/4pt win He’s A gentleman @ 10/3
