Selected Newbury – good to soft on this flat and galloping track
4.03 Sacred has at least 10 pounds in hand , but not for the first time in her career disappointed last time , as did surprise Hungerford Stakes winner Jumby . Shine So Bright comes here on a hat-trick , returning from a 4 months break , and has the form to run another big race but the nod goes to the consistent Tacarib Bay, not far off at the weights and slower ground in his favour .
1/4pt win Tacarib Bay @ 7/1
4.35 PREMIUM RACE
5.05 Despite the big field , very few come into this in encouraging form , and understandable that the clear form horse in youngster Vee Sight is a warm order , despite still looking a little high in the ratings , Carp Kid is a reliable soul who has run well over C&D before and a lively longshot today.
1/4pt ew Carp Kid @ 20/1
Selected Ayr- probably good to soft on thid flat and galloping track
2.00 Not a deep nursery , and as Prairie Falcon could certainly do with an extra furlong , preference is for Ramazan , a nursery winner in her first handicap in the Haydock mud and backed that up with a creditable 2 lengths 5th of 18 at York , off around this mark .
1/4pt win Ramazan @ 3/1
2.35 Bolt Action could probably do with an extra furlong , but with so much early pace coming from lesser animals, looks good to kick his stamina and land the spoils . He was an excellent close 3rd at York at this trip , when staying on strongly and looks hard to beat .
3/4pt win Bolt Action @ 6/5
3.10 The one to beat at the weights is the incredibly wonderful , progressive and prolific Gale Force Maya, who I am frequently with , but deserting her today dropping in trip. It’s only half of a furlong shorter , but her races are usually won when the turbo kicks in late on . Mo Celita had an incredible rise to fame last season , starting by landing a Leicester claimer at long odds , but went on to complete a 5 timer and held her form well in the face of stiff tasks. She comes here on the back of a cracking effort in a Donny listed race closing on the useful winner as the line approached , and today’s extra yardage will certainly suit . Likely to be front rank and will see this trip out really well .
1/2pt ew Mo Celita @ 10/1
3.45 The first task in a big field sprint on a straight track , is to identify where the early pace will come from and as there are 4 front runners and 6 prominent racers, and they are drawn across the track , the draw shouldn’t be a factor . Danzan holds his form well and snapped out of a losing 4 year run with a win at Thirsk , off just a pound lower and over a furlong longer, but he was 3rd in this race last year , off a higher mark and on ground quick enough . His stamina will come into play in this end to end gallop and unlikely to be far away . The fav is the form horse Music Society ,a close 2nd off this mark last time , but had been looking held off this mark, so that race may have dropped kindly for him , and his draw in 1 may not be ideal at all for a late player .
1/2pt ew Danzan @ 11/1

Selected Newton Abbot – good to soft on this flat and sharp track
1.35 The admirably consistent Mr Yeats stayed on determinedly to win over C&D last time , and is actually a pound lower today , but soft ground is a no no. After landing his first two races this year , both over fences , and looking like one to follow, Ballymilan put the brakes on in two subsequent efforts over the larger obstacles and no surprise seeing him back over timber today . He’s on a workable mark , no issue with the trip or softer ground . Nice longshot .
1/4pt win Ballymilan @ 11/1
2.45 With softer ground less of an issue than with his rivals, and coming into this in good form , Byzantine Empire looks a very solid fav .
1/2pt win Byzantine Empire @ evens

Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack
7.45 It’s very possible that the handicapper hasn’t got to the bottom of the prolific Cabinet Maker just yet . He wasn’t at his best at Wolver but that lesser run was sandwiched between 3 wins, each time coming off the pace and winning as he liked . He comes here on the back of an unlucky run in a very valuable Class 2 handicap, when he had the worst of the draw , but wasn’t out of it until finding it impossible to find a clear passage in the closing stages .This is far less demanding and can continue his winning spree . Already he’s a dual C&D winner .
1/2pt win Cabinet Maker @ 3/1
8.15 Not a deep finale and could go to the consistent Rolypolymoly , who hasn’t had the best of luck of late, but now down to a good mark and no issue with trip or surface .
1/4pt win Rolypolymoly @ 5/1

Selected Dundalk – all weather – polytrack
6.00 The 5 time course winner Tynamite comes here on the back of a good 2nd over C&D behind an improver , under this 7 pound claimer . Looks hard to keep out of the frame .
1/2pt ew Tynamite @ 6/1
6.30 Corviglia holds his form very well and has only had two races here , and won on of them . From a good draw, looks another very solid ew play .
