Selected Newbury – good ground on this flat and galloping track
2.10 NO shortage of early pace in this which wont help recent track winner Indy Five, with an 8 pound penalty , dropping in trip and on quicker ground and the well handicapped , but of late struggling Valadom is also sure to push the pace along . The hat-trick seeking First Figaro is hard to exclude despite the 9 pound hit and racing on quicker ground , as he’s landed his last two races with authority . Bermeo is well handicapped ,but not really firing of late, bit has his first run fir Harry Fry , which could well turn the clock back . Glen Forsa took advantage of a big ease in the ratings with a clear win at Musselburgh on good ground, but predictably struggled next time down in trip and on deep ground , and certainly has hopes off just a 4 pound higher mark for that smart win.
½ pt ew Glen Forsa @ 7/1
2.45 PREMIUM RACE
3.20 Both Antunes and Doukarov have earned their corn of late but now on testing marks . Glajou continues to disappoint so worth a try on the well handicapped Fanzio on ground he likes .
¼ pt win Fanzio @ 5/1
3.55 Lalor continues to struggle and the drop in trip on drying ground can’t help , while the ground is also quick enough for the well handicapped Al Dancer . Dorking Lad will run his race but now on a very testing mark . Track specialist Dublin Four is on a workable mark and ground no issue .
½ pt win Dublin Four @ 5/2

Selected Chepstow – good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
1.42 All of these are struggling to get their noses in front so worth a dabble on the well handicapped Wildfire Warrior , who shaped last time as this longer trip would suit .Fine on the ground .
¼ pt win Wildlife Warrior @ 7/1
2.17 This will take very little winning and the stand out form horse is the consistent Isle Of Aron , not far away at all in big field handicaps at around this trip , ground and mark , and this should be his big day .
½ pt win Isle of Aron @4/1
2.52 A similar race and a chance taken with the lightly raced Teddy The Knight , who at least has been running to around his mark and has experience both on the track and ground .
½ pt win Teddy The Knight @ 12/1

Selected Ayr- good to soft on this flat and galloping track
1.15 The short priced fav is recent good ground Kempton winner Sebastopol , and the well beaten 2nd horse has won well since , but the 8 pound hit wont help. The incredibly consistent Malystic is not out of this but this time of year, I like to be with horses who have had a nice long break and a light campaign . Sao has run two very solid races this year off around this mark and trip and goes well fresh .
¼ pt ew Sao @ 7/1
1.50 The lightly race Dusart is in much calmer waters than at Cheltenham last time , and certainly wasn’t disgraced but the ground has come right for I K Brunel , just 2 pounds higher for his smart Newbury good ground win 2 starts back , and still vey well handicapped on old form .
¼ pt ew I K Brunel @ 8/1

Selected Lingfield – all weather – polytrack
1.55 The clear form horse is 2 wins and 2 2nds in her last 4 Miss Sligo , and she remains on a fair mark back in a handicap and the switch to polytrack no issue. She likes to race handily and so does Big Wing , but at the odds I’m having a little play on recent C&D 2nd Stormingin , who’s a very late player which accounts for his shocking win record, but the young 7 pound claimer does ride him well .
¼ pt ew Stormingin @ 8/1
3.05 The prominent racing Valentinka is now on a stiff mark and grade and the drop in trip is likely to see her wilting from strong late challenges from Sayifyouwill and Verraux Eagle and the latter comes out just the best at the ratings and proven on surface and trip .
¼ pt win Verraux Eagle @ 10/3
3.40 Existent didn’t show a great deal for top trainer John Gosden , but since joining Stuart Williams , racing on polytrack and dropped to the minimum , is starting to look a very smart polytrack sprinter . He’s a late player in a field full of early pace and despite a 7 pound penalty , he overcame an 11 pound hit previously , and the latest win looked even easier . But too short for me at a shade of odds on .

4.15 Menai Bridge is 3 from 3 here and looked to have a stiff task last time , but such is his progress, he took it in his stride and with just a 2 pound penalty , likely to extend his winning run , despite some stiff opposition .
½ pt win Menai Bridge @ 3/1
4.50 The evergreen veteran Uncle Bernie won over C&d last year , given his customary late play , off a slightly higher mark and plenty of encouragement from his recent comeback spin .
¼ pt ew Uncle Bernie @8/1
5.20 Now that Jeremiah Johnson has finally broken his duck , he could well go on and land the double in this modest heat . The drop in trip is no issue and his win came here . Expect to see a prominent ride and Tom Marquand a positive booking .
½ pt ew Jeremiah Johnson @ 7/2

Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta
5.30 Very few come into this with high hopes and it looks very good for the lightly raced The Writer , who was backed into favourite in quite a warm handicap, his first try in that sphere and did very well to be a close 4th after a rough ride . Nicely drawn and stays on the same mark and as the stable has a cracking record here , the switch to tapeta unlikely to be an issue for this prominent racer . Recent Southwell winner Captain Kane is of course proven on the surface but neither the drop in trip nor the rise in the ratings will help and a line of form through the consistent Away Wit Da Fairys , gives the tip a comfortable edge .
¾ pt win The Writer @ 5/2
6.30 Another race where few can be seriously fancied and offers a golden chance for dual C&d winner Pope Gregory to go in on a mark 7 pounds below his last winning mark here . He has his first run for David Evans , who could be in better form and the first time visor is also a concern , but still preferred .
¼ pt win Pope Gregory @ 10/3
7.30 Understandable that the bookies make recent course winner Clap Your Hands a warm order , doing well to land the prize over a trip well short of his best .That was his 4th course win , but is now on a career high mark and this is far from a one horse race . Chase The dollar is clearly thriving and had no problem winning at Kempton , but is also a winner on the surface and as that win could open a few new doors for him as he is unbeaten at trips in excess of 12 furlongs , preferred off just a 2 pound higher mark . Neither Winkevi nor Three Platoon , both very consistent and proven at the trip and surface can be ruled out .
1/2pt win Chase The Dollar @ 4/1
8.00 Not a strong race and the drop in grade will certainly help the consistent Sarah’s Verse to upgrade a number of 2nds with no issues with surface and stays this trip well enough to land this .
½ pt win Sarah’s Verse @ 10/3
