Selected Chepstow – very soft ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

1.25 Big Blue Moon justified strong market support in his handicap debut winning well in the Carlisle mud and could well be up to the 8 pound hit considering he’s so unexposed , and this C&D should suit fine , but the well handicapped Jaunty Viking has run some OK races of late and this stiff C&D will suit , as will the ground . Brown Bullet has a stiff task with a 7 pound penalty for a rare win , that coming at a more benign track while the admirably consistent Karakoram is clearly out of his comfort zone with a 7 pound hit and the big drop in trip no help .

1/4pt  ew  Jaunty Viking @ 8/1

2.35 Only 4 go and nothing at all wrong with the chance of the outsider in the consistent Our Bill’s Aunt , a bold front runner , a course winner , handles deep ground and comes here on the back of a good run at Donny on ground quick enough, behind a pair of in form types .

1/2pt win Our Bill’s Aunt @ 4/1

3.10 PREMIUM  RACE

3.45 This will take little winning and despite the 5 timer chasing Barrier Peaks up another 8 pounds , the C&D and ground will suit .

1/2pt win Barrier Peaks @ 3/1

4.20 Another race far more about quantity than quality and worth trying the back to form veteran , who took advantage of a significant ease in the ratings to run 2nd here last time in the mud and does stay this longer trip .

Selected Sedgefield – soft ground on this undulating and sharp track

4.00 PREMIUM RACE

4.35  The 4 timer chasing Ex’Sellance has a stiff 7 pound penalty to overcome but is 3 from 3 over fences , but 0 places from 4 tries around here . The admirably consistent Trac , 3 wins and a 2nd in his last 4 , won here last time but has a stiff 7 pound penalty and the ground will be soft enough . Coolmoyne was 6 lengths behind in that race , but does enjoy a healthy weight pull , and will be suited to the soft ground and drop in trip .

1/4pt win Coolmoyne @ 4/1

5.10 This isn’t going to take much winning as the drop in trip won’t help Horn Cope and on paper a fine chance for the mud loving Edgar Allan Poe , just two pounds higher than his soft ground win at Catterick , and would be a welcome winner for the out of sorts Sue Smith stable .

1/4pt win Edgar Allan Poe @ 3/1

Selected Ludlow – soft ground on this flat and sharp track

3.35 Killaloan landed a modest handicap last time , working quite hard to prevail , and the 7 pound hit likely to test . Bertie’s Wish looked a difficult ride last time out, but got the job done well at Sedgefield beating a couple of in form types well . Could be OK with the 7 pound hit and this right handed track and softer ground should be in his favour. The consistent Issam is likely to struggle for pace around this sharp C&D .

1/4pt win Bertie’s Wish @ 5/1

4.10 The only certainty in this competitive handicap , is that it’s sure to be raced at a strong pace with C&D specialist Tide Times , just a pound higher for his latest win over C&D, despite jumping left handed most of the way , the hat-trick seeking Concetto and the in form , when last seen , almost a year ago , First Figaro are all very likely to want to dominate from flagfall , hardly ideal for any of them . As the consistent Jobsgreen Lad goes up markedly in trip , the top two could be fighting this one out . Latitude is seriously knocking at the door and has clear claims but triple C&D winner Head To The stars , a late player , can be relied upon to run his race and capable of a shock .

1/4pt  ew Head To The Stars @ 20/1

5.20 Quite a competitive handicap again but the penalty and longer trip are against recent Carlisle winner Malaita, while Amrons Sage struggled to get home last time at around this trip. Whatsupwithyou brings some very solid recent form to the table now racing off a reduced mark but the nod goes to recent Kempton close 3rd at this trip, ground and around this mark in No No Tango , when the waiting tactics were overcooked. Only concern is that this race has no front runner and could evolve into a dash for home .

1/4pt win No No Tango @ 10/3
