1.30 Shot Boli started this season with a hat-trick , but all on soft ground , and now of course on a stiff mark , so looks a fav you can take on with three of the field , Crossing The Bar, El Hageb Rose and Beaufort West all having solid claims . Nod goes to the latter , good course form , will welcome the drying ground and 2 pounds below last winning mark .

Diamond Egg has to be of interest , running to a good level in all 3 bumpers , but returns from a 9 months break and has to prove he can jump .

3.45 The ex-Irish Alfa Mix was quite useful , but no wins for 3 years and fast ground no help. Two seasons back One More Fleurie rattled off 4 wins and an unlucky fall in 5 runs , but after missing a season , has run very poorly since , until last time with a far more encouraging effort at Donny in a competitive race on good ground and the coast is clear for an uncontested lead . Tango Boy has questions to answer off this mark and drying ground .

5.00 The once useful Boom The Groom , a winner off 102 in his prime, is still enjoying his racing , albeit at a much lower level , but is now a 12yo . He went very close over C&D two starts back , when trying to make all , as usual , but not so clever last time , and remains on a 2 pound higher mark . He’s likely to get his own way up front and could take some catching , but there are some effective late players in this , in Ok form and on dangerously low marks . Amazing Amaya doesn’t win many , not unusual for a hold up type , but is well drawn , ran well last time and down to a good mark .

5.30 No shortage of early pace here with all of recent C&D winning Glorious Charmer , now on a stiff looking mark , the practically impossible to win with Fair and Square and Autumn Flight all sure to get busy early and leave this to the late players . Topflight comes here in top form , but they came in Classified events , and more to do back in a handicap off a stiff mark .Proclivity has been showing up pretty well over a longer trip , is well drawn , down to a good mark , and her only win came off this mark . Handles tapeta .

6.00 It’s not a deep race and Captain St Lucifer’s recent 2nd came in a Classified event and back in a handicap , off a much higher mark , from a bad draw , could struggle . The front running Sun Festival has only recently returned from a lengthy break and there was much to like about his most recent effort , over a trip too far and pestered for the lead . Could be away and gone.

7.00 The hat-trick seeking Civil Law has a terrific record over C&D , 4 wins and an unlucky 2nd , and is only 2 pounds higher than his last win, when this late player came from well off the pace to prevail . A strong pace is assured with the C&D 4 timer seeking War In Heaven sure to bomb off from his good draw , but will certainly have unwanted company from the free going Outbreak , who returns from a lengthy absence but still hard to rule out , and War in Heaven is now on a very stiff 8 pound higher mark . The consistent Court Of Session ticks plenty of boxes , but it’s the late player for me .
